Handstand is a challenging skill that requires a systematic approach, maximizing your efforts to produce the results you want. This 10 day program is expertly and anatomically designed to get you balancing handstand in your body.

10-DAY PROGRESSIVE FORMAT

Easy to follow format, doesnt require you to think about when, how or what you will practice. All you need ot do is show up for 10 days in a row and the training will do the work for you.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The biggest challenge for most people is not the pose itself, but the dedication it requires. Each day you will be assigned a specific drill/skill and you will take a photo/video and have the opportunity to share that in our private group for support and motivation!

EXPERT GUIDENCE

20 YEARS OF ACROBATIC TRAINING

For the past 20 years I have training handstands with the top acrobatic coaches in the world. I also spent 5 years performing professionally as an acrobat. The Acrobatic methodology is “Hands Down” the best when it comes to learning how to do a solid, stable, and predictable handstand.

ANATOMY

For the past 18 years I have studied Anatomy and have combined my acrobatic skills with my knowledge of anatomy and bio mechanics to create the most efficient and effective system for handstand.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching yoga for 18 years and began teaching handstand workshops in 2011. I have learned how to provide exactly what you need to balance a handstand regardless of your age, body type, experience or otherwise. Teaching Handstand has been one of my greatest passions in my yoga teaching career because the joy it brings to someone when they achieve what they thought was impossible.

THE ESSENTIAL WARM UP

10 min daily foundations, and fundamentals to prime the body for handstand

DAY 2

LIVESTREAM WORKSHOP

April 20th at 10- 11:30am EST (will be available for replay) Learn the system and drills you need.

DAY 3

ZOOM GROUP COACHING SESSION

Get personalized feedback and guidance to set you on the course of success. “Am I doing this right” will be answered!

DAY 4

GET GROUNDED

Hands Placement, Wrist Strengthening, Forearm Alignment and everything you need to stabilize the foundation of your handstand.

DAY 5

GET ALIGNED

Coordinating Rib Cage, Core and Shoulders to maximize your handstand efficiency and refine you handstand “line”

DAY 6

GET BALANCED

Weight shifting exercises to gain control of balance while on your hands. Drills will be provided for a students at various skill levels from beginner to advanced.

DAY 7

CONTROLLED ENTRIES

Beginners and Intermediates will utilizing props and the wall learn how to get upside down safely. For advanced practitioners you will learn Press Handstand Techniques

WALL DRILLS

Beginner/intermediate wall drills that will UNDO bad habits and help you to recreate your handstand.

DAY 9

DYNAMIC ENTRIES 

Techniques to get into handstand without compromising  alignment and form. Leg variations will be included for advanced practitioners.

DAY 10

LIVESTREAM WORKSHOP

Learn how to implement your new skills and refine, advance and expand your handstand practice.

For accountability, support and feedback we will have a private Facebook group where you will be able to communicate with me and fellow trainees.

I'm scared of handstand

 You are not alone!  Most students I teach who are new to handstand face fears about going upside down. With the right techniques, strength and training regimen the fear you have will dictate because handstand will no longer be unknown, it will be familiar.

My handstand is inconsistent

Perfect. Most people lack consistency because they are missing fundamental techniques. Its easy to jump from beginner to somewhat advanced and skip steps that hold you back from a being masterful. In fact in any skill related practice this is the case and its the reason why so many sit on the edge of mastery but settle on mediocrity. This training will get you to a strong, consistent and predictable handstand by filling in the blanks for you.

3 ONLINE WORKSHOPS

Each workshop consists of a 2-hour asana practice with the founder of Chromatic Yoga, Matt Giordano. Classes begin with a brief introduction to the technique, followed by unique sun salutations, standing postures, a peak posture, cooldown, and Savasana.

LIVESTREAM SCHEDULE

What if I cannot attend the livestream classes? This is normal! The classes are livestream at first to provide the option to show up live, but ultimately the intention is to offer an on-demand package of classes that you can practice any time. After each livestream, you will have immediate access to the class and can watch it at any time that is convenient for you.

Covid_19 bought Matt into my home and my yoga practice. This last month I have learn’t so much it has deepened my practice and my understanding of the anatomy & biomechanics and how we use both in every asana we practice. He has also helped in my teaching, ie asking my students to think about the foot as a tripod “big toe, pinkie toe, heel ” I never imagined I would learn so much from the immersion.
