LIVESTREAM YOGA CLASSES: ALIGN AND REFINE YOUR FLOW
Connect to your energetic core and awaken the “layers of your Self.” The physical practice of yoga, called asana, helps to release tension from the body and create an easeful day-to-day existence, but this is just one of the 5 layers. Under the umbrella of yoga, there are practices for all of the layers, which ensures a deeper awakening but also a more accurate way to self-assess what you need so as to find greater balance. For the layer of the mind, I will be guiding you through meditations to release mental/emotional patterns, so you can experience greater focus, freedom, joy and ease. For our energy layer, called prana, we will be doing breathwork, which is known in the yoga tradition as pranayama.
These 3 practices of asana, pranayama and guided meditation are the trifecta of yogic practices to cleanse all layers. In the March immersion, we will be practicing all 3 of these within each class. The MOVE•BREATHE•RELEASE Immersion focuses on the “trifecta” of yogic practices for the body, breath and mind. Through yoga asana (physical practice), we will unwind physical patterns that cause bodily discomfort or pain. Through pranayama, we will release stuck breathing patterns in order to access greater energy flow. The last piece of the puzzle is meditation to cleanse the mind of anything that holds us back from enjoying our life’s experience.

WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE THE LIVE TIME?
NO PROBLEM AT ALL! The immersion consists of yogis worldwide in various time zones. This is why you have LIFETIME and UNLIMITED access. You can practice when it is convenient for you. You will receive emails throughout the week to keep you on track and inspired to practice. There is a Facebook group where you will hear from other members and be able to ask questions and stay connected. The emails from me and from the group will keep you committed to your practice, even if you cannot practice live.

IS THIS TOO ADVANCED FOR ME?
Matt specializes in teaching ALL levels of yoga practices, providing modifications and options throughout each class. These immersions are suitable for anyone with 1-3 months yoga practice or more. You do not need to have a regular practice, nor do you need to be flexible or strong. First-time yogis are welcomed so long as you have no major injuries. Each class focuses on a different yoga pose in order for you to gain a greater understanding of your body within the asana practice.

Covid_19 bought Matt into my home and my yoga practice. This last month I have learn’t so much it has deepened my practice and my understanding of the anatomy & biomechanics and how we use both in every asana we practice. He has also helped in my teaching, ie asking my students to think about the foot as a tripod “big toe, pinkie toe, heel ” I never imagined I would learn so much from the immersion.

The March immersion was exactly what I needed! I joined after seeing Matt’s discussion on the 6 layers of consciousness on Instagram. I am not a yoga teacher, or even a consistent yoga practitioner. but I have been practicing yoga off and on for 15 years, and practicing meditation daily for the last two years. It had been a while since I had noticed any changes in my insight/understanding through meditation and I was looking for a spark to bring me deeper. The Move-Breathe-Release immersion was that spark and more! I have been able to rekindle my meditation practice, develop my connection to my physical body and bring the understandings that I gained into every aspect of my life.
I have three small kids and two full time jobs, so the time commitment was worrying to me. I knew I would never be able to practice live, but the asynchronous option made it possible. Matt’s dharma talks at the top set the intention for each practice, and his guidance throughout was always one step ahead. He consistently answered questions that I was about to ask, and provided phenomenal insight into the poses and practice. His effortless switching between direct movement instruction, breath guidance and dharma throughout the practice was easy to follow, helped in focus and motivation and was honestly inspiring to witness. I noticed pretty quickly that after each practice I would begin to wonder for the next few days, digesting the discussion and the practice, and inevitably some questions would surface. Each time I started the next practice, Matt would address the questions that I had, as if he knew what I was thinking!
I now have confidence in using the tools of pranayama and Tantra style meditation in my own practice, and I look forward to going deeper. I’m working through the “Pulse” immersion now (rave review coming soon!) and plan to go back through the “Move Breathe Release” series as soon as I am done! My objective for joining this immersion is to improve my mind and body connection.
In this Immersion, Matt provides a good insight into the Philosophy of Yoga and on how to use different breathing techniques to control our moods/energy levels ( The Nadis)
Each session provides a good structured approach on how to connect the body and mind through asanas and pranayama, ending with meditation to train awareness and to achieve a clear and calm state of mind.
The deep and steady breathing technique acquired during this immersion has helped to smooth my movement flows and provide a more stable foundation for my yoga poses.
The Philosophy of Yoga that was instilled into me during this immersion is starting to gain positive impacts on me both emotionally and spiritually.
