Welcome to The Splits, the April 2023 immersion. Together we will increase the flexibility of our hamstrings, adductors, hip flexors and glutes. Each sequence is carefully crafted from awareness of anatomy to optimize your range of motion. We will learn postures like Hanuman, Center Splits, Standing Splits, straddle entries to inversions, Extended Side Plank, Vishvamitrasana, and more.

Welcome to the October 2022 Hip Mobility Immersion. I am excited to share this particular topic, which is near and dear to my heart. Coming into the Yoga practice, I had extremely tight hips, to the point where Pigeon Pose required 9 blocks for me to just barely be able to survive it. In this immersion, I will be sharing the key techniques that I used to unlock my hips. I have now shared these techniques with thousands of people around the world and have refined them to suit a wide veriety of body types. I look forward to sharing them now with you!

I’ve done a few of these immersions and was never able to identify a favorite because they’ve all been outstanding, but now I can, and it’s this one. Like all of Matt’s immersions, it’s packed with helpful tips and techniques, it will help you understand what and why you’re doing, and it’s so well cued that it’s almost like he’s in the room with you. Your body, brain, and mind emerge stronger from every class. The Splits immersion is also just super fun. All of the immersions are, but this one even more so. I love how safe I feel practicing with Matt. His approach is realistic – no “splits in 30 seconds!” promises here! – but also so much more effective than anything else I’ve tried (and I’ve tried many splits workshops). I still can’t quite do a full split, but I made so much progress, gained a lot of technique, learned many useful preparatory exercises, and had a great time in the process. Matt, if you read this, thank you so much for everything you do; your work is truly a gift.
